Pastoral Care

In the small classes at Lavant House pupils receive much individual and personal attention. The Form Teacher has the primary responsibility for the girls in her class, but all staff are readily available to support girls with particular troubles or academic difficulties, as well as sharing in their successes.

 

Sixth formers each have a personal tutor in addition to their general Form Tutors. The Head of Sixth Form has overall responsibility, and advises girls on their university applications.

 

The school nursing staff look after pupils’ health and are always available for a confidential chat.

 

There is a professional counsellor available at school.  Girls may ask to see her themselves, or be referred by parents or staff.
