Lavant House
School is an
independent all-girls school with a very special atmosphere.
It is small, with
160 pupils, and set in glorious Sussex
countryside close to the attractive cathedral city of Chichester.
Our youngest
pupils start in the Foundation Class of the Junior Department at the age of
three, and we can take them right through their education to A Levels in our
Sixth Form at the age of 18.
Classes are small
and girls are treated as unique individuals, each pupil encouraged to develop
her abilities to the full and achieve success, whether academic or in sport,
drama, art, or any of the wide variety of activities that go on daily within
the school.
Lavant House is
home to our boarding pupils, from overseas as well as the UK, and many
of our day-girls take advantage of our fully flexible boarding arrangements.
Next door is
Lavant House Stables; horses graze in the fields surrounding the school and
many girls take riding lessons which can be fitted in during the working
week.
